According to the NFU, rural crime jumped by 9% in 2020, with costs spiralling to £54 million per year[1].

It’s perhaps not surprising therefore, that we have seen an increase in enquiries from customers in rural areas looking to protect both their main residence and outbuildings.

This week saw us install a CCTV security camera system for a rural home near Ringwood, Hampshire that has multiple outbuildings and a large amount of private, open land surrounding the property.

Our security cameras enable the owners to monitor every corner of the property 24/7.

Using the accompanying app, they can view footage in real-time from virtually any device, almost anywhere in the world, as well as store and download historical footage quickly and easily.

Customers can also choose to combine CCTV security cameras with an intruder alarm, which not only serves as a visible deterrent, but can immediately alert the homeowners (or keyholders) to an intrusion. The intruder alarm app allows users to remotely arm and disarm their alarm (and identify which user has done so – particularly useful if you have staff or suppliers accessing the property) and be alerted to an intrusion via phone call or SMS.

For added peace of mind, customers can add a Police response option which will alert the Police in the event of a confirmed break-in.
